The link and QR code are built entirely on your device — your number and message are never sent to this site or anyone else.
How to use this tool
-
Enter your WhatsApp number
Pick the country code and type the number you actually answer — the QR encodes the official wa.me link for it.
-
Pre-fill the first message
Write what customers should send, like "Hi! I'd like to place an order" — it appears pre-typed when they scan, which doubles the number of people who actually hit send.
-
Download and place it
Download the QR as PNG or SVG and print it at 3×3 cm or larger — counter, packaging sticker, auto-rickshaw, anywhere your customers stand.
Questions people ask
How does a WhatsApp QR code work?
It encodes your wa.me click-to-chat link. Any camera app opens the link, and WhatsApp takes over — starting a chat with your number, pre-filled message and all. The customer never types or saves your number.
Is this the same as the QR inside the WhatsApp app?
Same result, more control. WhatsApp's in-app code works only in WhatsApp's scanner on some cameras, and you can't attach a pre-filled message. A wa.me QR opens from any camera app and carries your chosen first message.
Where do shops actually use WhatsApp QR codes?
Counter standees ("Scan to order on WhatsApp"), packaging and delivery bags (reorders), visiting cards, vehicle backs, and restaurant tables. Anywhere a customer would rather chat than call.
Does the customer need my number saved first?
No — that's the whole point of click-to-chat. Scanning opens a chat directly, whether or not they've ever contacted you.
Will the code stop working or expire?
Never, as long as the WhatsApp number stays active. It's a static code with the link baked in — no subscription, no scan limit, no third-party redirect that can go dark.
What size should I print it?
At least 3×3 cm for counter distance, bigger for posters — a code should be readable from where customers naturally stand. The SVG download scales to any size without blurring.
