Questions people ask

How do I record my screen without installing anything?

Click Record, pick what to share when your browser asks, and recording starts immediately — no extension, no app, no signup required.

Does this add a watermark or time limit?

No watermark, no time limit. Recording length is bounded only by your device's available memory and disk space.

Can I record my voice too?

Yes — enable the microphone toggle before you start recording. In Chrome and Edge you can also capture a shared browser tab's own audio at the same time.

Why can't I record on my phone?

Mobile browsers don't give web pages permission to capture the screen. Use your phone's built-in recorder instead — iOS: Control Centre, Android: Quick Settings — then come back here to trim or compress the result.

Where does my recording go?

Nowhere but your own device. The recording is held in your browser's memory and saved straight to your Downloads folder when you click Download — this site never sees it, unlike Loom and similar tools.

Why do recordings from some tools have a broken seek bar?

The browser's built-in screen-recording API doesn't write duration metadata as it records, so raw recordings often can't be seeked properly. This tool rewrites the file after you stop recording to fix that.
