Fancy text generator
Type a name, bio or caption and see it instantly restyled into 20+ different Unicode looks — bold, italic, script, double-struck, bubble letters, strikethrough. These are genuine Unicode characters, not a font file, which is exactly why they paste into an Instagram bio, a WhatsApp message or almost anywhere else text goes — and exactly why some devices show a blank box for the ones they lack a glyph for.

Preparing Fancy Text Generator for you…
Loading the tool into your browser. Nothing is uploaded — the work happens on your device.
These are real Unicode characters, not font files — they paste into an Instagram bio, WhatsApp or anywhere else text goes, but a device without a matching glyph will show a blank box, and most screen readers either garble or skip styled text entirely. Use it for decoration, not for anything that has to be read aloud or understood by everyone.

Questions people ask
How do I get different fonts on Instagram?
Instagram has no font picker of its own — but these styles are not fonts at all, they are alternate Unicode characters that look styled, so pasting one into a bio or caption just works like any other text.
Why does fancy text work on almost every app?
Because each style maps your letters to genuine Unicode code points from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block and a few older blocks — it is plain text under the hood, not a font instruction, so any app that accepts text at all can display it (assuming the device has a matching glyph).
Why do some of my letters show up as empty boxes (□)?
That means the viewing device's installed fonts lack a glyph for that specific Unicode character — it is a device limitation, not something this tool can fix. The most broadly supported styles (bold, italic, small caps) sit near the top for that reason.
Is fancy text bad for accessibility?
Often, yes — many screen readers either spell styled Unicode text out letter by letter or skip it entirely, since it is not recognised as ordinary alphabetic text. Use it for decoration in a bio or caption, never for anything that has to be understood by everyone, like a button label or important instructions.
Can I make a stylish name for my gaming or social profile?
Yes — type your name, browse the styles (favourite the ones you like with the star icon so they stay at the top), and copy whichever fits. Our cursive text generator and Instagram fonts pages lead with a different subset of the same styles if you want a narrower starting list.
